Job description

About the role:

Khodro 45 is building the infrastructure for how cars are bought and sold in Iran end to end. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own one of our core product squads. Internally we call this role a Tribe Lead: you own a domain, you set the direction, and you're accountable for outcomes not just output.

We're looking for someone who thinks in systems, moves fast, and can hold their own in a room full of engineers, business operators, and executives. You lead with context, not just coordination.

Our squads are engineering-heavy. You'll be in the room when architecture decisions are made, and your ability to engage technically not just translate between business and tech will determine how effective you are.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap

● Own the product roadmap for your squad from discovery through delivery

● Translate business goals into clear quarterly OKRs; propose them, commit to them, own the results

● Identify market opportunities, user pain points, and competitive gaps your squad should solve

● Make and defend product bets using data, user research, and business context

Execution & Delivery

● Write PRDs that are clear enough that engineers don't need follow-up meetings to start building

● Scope, sequence, and ship features on time when things slip, you know why and have a plan

● Track your squad's KRs weekly; surface risks early, not after the quarter ends

● Ensure all designs and PRDs go through the required product review process before development

Stakeholder Management

● Lead quarterly goal-setting sessions with business stakeholders: Sales, Operations, Commercial, Finance

● Present squad progress and learnings to leadership in a format that drives decisions, not just updates

● Synthesize conflicting input from multiple business units into a coherent product direction

People & Cross-Squad

● Lead and develop the designers and analysts embedded in your squad

● Collaborate with other Tribe Leads to stay aligned on shared platform needs and avoid duplication

● Contribute to the broader product culture: retrospectives, hiring, best practices

What we are looking for:

Must-Have

● 9+ years in product management: you've owned a product area end-to-end, not just features

● Technical fluency: you don't need to write code, but you understand how systems are built, can read a technical spec, and earn engineers' respect by speaking their language

● Deep experience with OKR-based goal setting and quarterly planning cycles

● Strong PRD discipline: your docs are thorough, opinionated, and actually get read

● Experience leading cross-functional squads (engineering, design, data)

● Data fluency: comfortable pulling your own analysis or working closely with a data team

● Strong stakeholder management: you influence without authority and push back when needed

● Fluent in English and Persian

Nice-to-Have

● Background in marketplace, e-commerce, fintech, or automotive tech

● Prior experience as an engineer, engineering manager, or technical PM

● Experience with AI/ML product development

● Worked in a high-growth startup

How we work:

● Every squad proposes its own quarterly OKRs: you own that process for your tribe

● OKRs are finalized in sessions with business stakeholders, not handed down from above

● All designs and PRDs go through a centralized product review for consistency across the product surface

● Performance is evaluated primarily on team outcomes, with a smaller individual component

● Chapters handle learning and technical alignment across squads separate from delivery accountability

First 90 Days

Day 30

You know your domain, your users, your KRs, and your stakeholders. First PRD drafted.

Day 60

You're running squad rituals independently. First feature shipped under your ownership. Quarterly OKR proposal ready.

Day 90

OKRs committed. Product strategy for your domain documented and presented. Actively contributing to cross-squad work.
